Official Episode Description ( aired March 17, 2004 ) South Park takes on the look of Japanese Anime. The boys are transformed into Japanese Warriors after they buy martial arts weapons at a local flea market. Their sworn enemy, Professor Chaos, confronts them and a highly stylized battle ensues.
:- That was pretty good, for a nod to Jap.An. Complete with japanese writing, singing [ jap-lish ],
preview of past episode, up to that point, after returned from a commercial and the still shots at end while credits rolled.
I thought the voices should have changed too, but all in all, very entertaining! This should be a hit among the younger crowd.
They really made Prof. Chaos look good as a Warrior, huh? )~ |
" Alright Ninjas, let's go protect the world !"
" Kick-ass !"
When Kenny's shuriken (throwing star) hit Butters, his helmet flew off. The above picture of Butters never did happen.
That wasn't a flea market they went to but PARK COUNTY FAIR. :- I laugh when the studio can't get it right )~
Cartman made several jew references involving The Passion Of Christ and if "Road Warrior" says so, it must be true.
Was Butters representing Jesus, wounded & bleeding, treated like a dog & wanting to take his life? Possible!
Maybe the scamps not wanting Parents to know about weapons is like folks not wanting The Passion to be shown.
Expanding on that further, would be the Jewish religion, by denying Jesus was Christ, people won't know what they did to him.
Cartman's excuse for exposing penis, "a wardrobe malfunction" was a reference to Super-boob-Bowl & MTV/Janet's excuse.
:- is that all the Janet-ripping they gonna do? )~
How hard would it have been to sneak past behind last row parents or below the stage verses ON THE STAGE?
This was not the first ep where japanese was spoken. Can you recall another one? Or two?
This was the first time an ep was shown in WideScreen format, though.
Not many American Cartoons have an episode recap but most American Series do.
In fact, South Park may have been first American Cartoon to actually have an episode recap. Can you recall which one?
Aw, even better yet, South Park has been doing episode recaps from the beginning without us realizing, until now, do you know what I mean?
:- at the beginning of Cartman's Mom Is Still A Dirty Slut - #202 e015 they did a recap & Theme Song has recap clips from past Seasons )~
At Butters' house next to stairs was a cartoon picture of Butters sitting on a tree stump.
Later, when Stan uses pliers to try to pull out the star, Butters is sitting on a tree stump like that photo.
Is that Butter's backyard? Where once a tree and tree-fort existed, now just a stump.
In the earlier eps, they would use real-life pictures as framed paintings/photo or posters on Mr.Garrison's desk & school walls.
I believe Season 6 and thereafter, they changed to using less real-life photos and more cartoon pictures.
Another new place is seen, South Park Animal Shelter

WHOOPs
First, we see Vet Dr. bring Butters into the kennel area through a gate where other cells exist.
Everytime they zoomed in, people nearby changed.
They seem to mess around with the scamps ages or maybe they forget what they did in other eps.
Second pic shows Vet Dr. & Assistant going into the gated kennel area to give Butters a shot.
Then they find cell D has door open and Butters has escaped. ( male dogs are good escape artists )
Oh, no, this is not a blooper afterall, WHOOPs!
( place cursor on zoomed pics for details )
Once again they refer to them as being 8 when past eps had them at 9.
SAPIENCE
( message between the cartoon )
