Official Episode Description ( aired April 14, 2004 )
Cartman hatches his next genius plan for picking on Butters when he becomes AWESOM-O.
Cartman dresses up like a robot, calls himself AWESOM-O, and moves in with Butters. His plan is to learn all of Butter's innermost secrets and then use them against him. While Butters is thrilled to have found a new best friend, the Army believes AWESOM-O is some new secret weapon, and Hollywood is after the phony robot to develop their next big blockbuster.

:- Well, I can sum it up with one word, and to quote Cartman, " LAME !"
Ok, maybe that is a little rough but I don't take kindly to eps centered around Butters and I didn't laugh once. I'm starting to think that maybe the underlying LAMEness, has something to do with "why" this ep changed from original conception )~

AWESOM-O Trivia

There was a blip at beginning about something that happened in Hawaii and Lemmiwinks episode being cancelled.
That was pretty funny though, they went to the extreme of having to "explain" why no Lemmiwinks ep.
:- this confirms for me, that original ep was still a little bit over-the-edge and got nixed by C.C. Execs.
Lighting Stan on fire was enough to get cut out in Season 1, what did they do to the Easter Bunny? )~

Ms Cartman told Butters Mom that Eric was grounded for messing with the Jews 2 weeks ago.
This is probably the first time they referenced a past ep, time wise, and got it right !
:- another sign that work on ep#802 changed from what it was originally, since 2 weeks ago was ep#804 )~

This ep had more viewers (3.96M) than "Fairly Odd Parents" (3.91M) but less than "Spongebob Squarepants" (4.7M) & "Chappelle's Show" (4.43M).

It may not have been an Easter Special but Butters was in BUNNY PJs ( bunny face on front and cotton tail in back )

The BIJOU is no longer showing "The Passion" as Butters and AMESOM-O went to see THE PRINCE AND ME = " The King And I "
Although in Hollywood, "The Passion" was still showing. That makes a new record of 4 eps mentioning same movie.

Wonder if the robot letters actually an acronym for something... A.W.E.S.O.M. -O

A google search will reveal Adam Sandler is to star in several upcoming Paramount Pictures movies.

Wasn't that a take-off of The Bachelor with the "spy" on the inside?

Was anybody else reminded of Free Willy when Mr. Scientist let AMESOM-O go?

Mr. Scientist is killed, but not Kenny. ( 2nd. ep in a row someone else died )

After military takes AWESOM-O, Butters wanders the streets of L.A. aimlessly.

While AWESOM-O was strapped down, he says, "Look retards, my name is Eric Cartman and I live with my mom in South Park, Colorado."
Mr. Scientist explains that someone gave the robot, "...memories of some eight-year-old boy..."
How did Mr. Scientist know Eric from South Park, was eight years old ?

Were thay still in L.A. when Butters showed Cartman-Spears dancing & flew in the folk from South Park?
The Catamount Execs and the Military folks were there, along with many people from back home.

A final note on the underlying lameness.
When M&T get pissed at things beyond their control, they get revenge using their eps.
There was the anger after losing Oscar to Phil Collins. Episode "PIP" would've been the next ep.
That ep was mysteriously delayed and became the ep that it is now, still ripping on Phil. ( one of the worst, by majority vote too )
The Movie, BLU, was said to have changed because the MPAA kept rejecting it. M&T kept making it more gross, knowing the MPAA folks would have to watch it again. Even BLU is reference to a prick, bigger, longer & uncut. ( a non-jewish one maybe )
Now with that in mind, Cartman sticking medicine up Butters' butt and Exec wanting Cartman to pleasure him.....
:- hmmm, I wonder if they are mad at someone, Paramount maybe )~
