The Passion Of The Jew - #804 e114

KickAss!
Official Episode Description ( aired March 31, 2004 )
After weeks of pressure from Cartman, Kyle finally sees "The Passion".
Cartman's dream comes true when, as a result of seeing "The Passion", Kyle has to admit Cartman has been right all along. Inspired by Kyle's change of heart and a powerful love for Mel Gibson, Cartman incites many of the film's hardcore fans to band together and carryout its message. Meanwhile, Stan and Kenny also see the movie and embark upon a quest to find Mel Gibson.

:- I thought this was ok but "The Passion of the Easter Bunny" mentioned in C.C. Press Release, sounded funnier. This isn't the first time an original concept for an ep changed and I doubt it'll be the last. They really ripped on Mel and his movie in general. [ & I plan to be one of the few that DOESN'T see it, like Matt ] Cartman's idols usually turn out to be quack. Ok, stop beating on this movie, for Chirst's sake, er, I mean, Mel's sake. )~
I'ld watch 3 ReRuns

The Passion Of The Jew Trivia

This ep had 4.4M viewers, which is the most viewers since back in 1998 and Season 2.
Not Without My Anus - #201 e014 & Chef's Salty Chocolate Balls - #209 e022 were tied with most viewers.
Then Spooky Fish - #215 e028 & Ike's Wee-Wee - #204 e016 come in third and fourth.
Nonetheless, it took 5 Seasons ( 5 years ) to finally get same number of viewers as were watching back in 1998.
:- most folks have forgotten the JOKE or finally got over it )~ Jumped the shark, NOT !

This is not the first ep to cover jewish situations, it is the first ep to have word JEW in the title, unless you count Jewbilee

The Braveheart poster in Cartman's room from last ep was used again in this one. Is Mel the Anti-Christ?
A new record is set with 3 eps in a row mentioning the same movie, "The Passion of the Christ". ( as a spoof or rip-on )
"Contact" was mentioned twice and was at the heart of controversy involving Season 2 comments by M&T deleted off DVDs.

When Kyle was having his nightmare after seeing "The Passion", the last real-life photo was ALAN ALDA from M*A*S*H fame.
[ Alan will be seen later this year in a new film called, "The Aviator", directed by Martin Scorese ]

Cartman has seen "The Passion" 34 times.
[ why 34? cause it's one more than 33 and 34 sounds funnier ]

The BIJOU is a rip-off ! They charged Kyle, a Jew, 10$ but Stan & Kenny get in for 9$.

Stan figured it cost 87$ to steal back their 18$

We see a NEW place that has never been seen before, Kyle's place of worship, A Synagogue

Isn't Mel Australian? He should look like Russel Crowe or Croc Hunter, not like an Iraq Dictator, Sadam.
Unless maybe, M&T think he has reached Dictator status.

They made Mel act like Daffy Duck. Stan even described his as being "daffy".
Do you recall the other ep that involved WB Looney Tunes characters?

The Creators poke fun at movie they acted in, BASEketball
"Come on, Kenny, we're going to Malibu!
[ mumbles ] "Malibu? But how?"
We'll take the bus! Look, this isn't about the 18 dollar ticket money anymore. This is about being able to hold bad filmmakers responsible! This is just like when we got our money back for Baseketball !

WHOOPs

The guy working at BIJOU was also a camp counselor from Jewbilee - #309 e040. He is not jewish anymore?

Cartman as Hitler, was missing the moustache.

The Studios really suck at showing reverse views, as I have shown many times in past eps. They continue the trend here too.
First shot is when Stan & Kenny look out back of bus. Mel should be on right side of Road-Warrior-like vehicle.
Second shot shows Mel out back of bus window and bus driver on the correct, right side.
Third shot is of mirror view, which is technically correct, but compared to other views, it should be reversed.
KickAss! KickAss! KickAss!
