Tempers flare and ideologies are tested when the kids of South Park are forced to choose a new school mascot.
PETA demonstrates against the use of a cow as South Park Elementary's mascot and the student body is forced to choose a new one. Cartman and Kyle come up with opposing ideas and try to encourage kids to get out and vote. As the election approaches, Kyle tries to convince everyone that his candidate, a giant douche, is better than Cartman's nominee, a turd sandwich.

:- This was a pretty good episode spoofing 2004 US Presidential election and Puff-Daddy's VOTE OR DIE! campaign. Many people feel very strongly about VOTING and yet many people don't vote. I wonder how much this episode influenced those Non-Voters. )~

For the first time ever, after 118 eps, a total lunar eclipse happened while this episode aired.
Only half the country actually could see the eclipse but since the East Coast was in the shadow, it counts.
